The title „Hi” (One), „Dua” (Two), and „Drei” (Three) reflects both the structure of the eve-ning and the artist‘s cultural influences. Three artists of Asian heritage engage with the tra-ditions of their respective cultures from a personal and contemporary perspective – an eve-ning that questions the familiar and opens unexpected dimensions.

In „Mis-sing One”, Yui Kawaguchi revisits the Japanese mythology of the Tsukumogami – spirits awakening in hundred-year-old objects. In the echo of her own dance career, she transforms her body into an “abandoned score,” in dialogue with a light sculpture.

In „SINTA x DAHANA“, drawing from Sinta’s Trial of Fire in the Ramayana, choreographer Ruben Reniers and composer Bilawa Ade Respati present a ritualistic dialogue where fire emerges as both a purifying storyteller and a symbol of modern power.

In „DISTANZ 3.0“, this work reinterprets the legacy of social distancing—a theme born in cri-sis yet resonating in our divided society today, where bodies connect and separate in an electrifying space.
