Open AR space after each performance.

Duration: double bill, 60 min.

NOTE: We ask you to arrive 20 minutes before the performances start, because for the optimal experience of the production is an individual adjustment of the AR glasses required. This takes place in each case at the entrance. Currently, the AR model of MagicLeap, which we use, is not compatible with conventional glasses - a combination with contact lenses is possible. We therefore offer a limited number of dioptric inserts. The performances are suitable for children 12 years and older.

All spectators must also sign a Disclaimer before attending the performance, which can be viewed here in advance and then signed on site: disclaimer.PDF

An immersive Augmented Reality Dance Performance presented within the framework of Humandroid Festival, September 14-24.

Chris Ziegler/movingimages presents a solo dance performance with Davide Troiani, who uses a life motion capture AR software by Nikolaus Völzow on stage to create AR interactions with the audience. The Interactive Soundscape is provided by Damon Lee.

How does social community take place? Theater is an architecture for community.

PopUp Stage ARENA builds a digital temporary theater that is created before the audience's eyes through the presence of the audience members in interaction with AR software and motion tracking life. The software registers the presence of each individual, creating a virtual architecture that encloses the real circular stage. Dancer Davide Troiani wears a motion-tracking suit that moves a virtual costume like a bubble on his body.

The AR glasses allow the audience to experience the real dancer interacting with the virtual objects freely in space. The audience and the dancer together create an interactive 3D and sound architecture.

Concept and Artistic Direction: Chris Ziegler/movingimages
