ICH ÜBERQUERE MEINE KÖRPER IM SCHLAF

reading by paper pieces

ICH ÜBERQUERE MEINE KÖRPER IM SCHLAF

I dreamt of this, yes, of a city in weather
Another place where I am indecipherable
A pen with loose ink in my hand
(Tracy Fuad)

Wandering, curled up, indecipherable but vibrating bodies appear in the texts of Tracy Fuad and Johanna Hühn. For the first time, the Berlin-based poets read from their chapbooks published in DOCK X paper pieces, BODY OF WATER 2 and mein körper, der da wäre. Initiator and (co-)editor Astrid Kaminski introduces the project. In conversation, the authors reflect on common themes and discuss the joint translation of selected poems, an experiment-in-progress.

The edition paper pieces was created as part of DOCK 11 EXPANDED, a workshop series on embodied writing and other experiments at the intersection of performing arts and writing. In spring 2024, the paper pieces readings will continue with texts by Samar Yazbek, Sarah Shelton Mann, Johannes Groschupf, and Mariama Diagne.
