Tony Rizzi and the Bad Habits

As a child, Rizzi spent his weekends at the cinema, fascinated by the boundary between reality and fantasy. Film and dance are the two worlds that have shaped his artistic vision, and he has moved effortlessly between them ever since.

This latest work, his most queer piece to date, invites us into a cinematic playground. Tony Rizzi embodies iconic figures from film history, blurs the boundaries between dance and film, and reveals something truly alive.

Together with Manuel Gaubatz, he bridges generations and explores desire, identity, intimacy and the often awkward, fleeting moments of being human. In a world full of screens and fleeting fame, he asks: What is real, and what is illusion?
