Ein Körper / Desmata

Martha Hincapie Charry / Plataforma curates a double bill with two pieces that consider the body as a sensitive connection with the world; choreography functions here as a possibility for a sensitive organisation of moving bodies.

Ein Körper
Melissa Herrada / Cuatro X Cuatro

for my grandfather Regino

One body is enough, one body makes a difference. The philosopher Santiago Alba Rico says: "A body is worth as much as the time invested in waiting for it, looking at it, taking care of it, paying attention to it".
And what does choreography demand if not attention to bodies as well as spaces, objects, sounds, words, lights, dreams, shadows, moments? A body is the intuition of a moment, it is a process that, through choreography, attempts to reveal the senstive possibility of the present, an intimate and anonymous present that wants to become poetic and political. Only a body that recognizes the immensity of the present will be enough to make a difference ...in the world.

Desmata
Milki Lee / Cuatro X Cuatro

This is a work that establishes the relationship between the human being and the "missing link" that inhabits our body. „Desmata“ is part of the research that the artist Milki Lee carries out in natural environments and has a strong spirit of vindication about our relationship with our animality and therefore in relation to the planet.

This work has been developed in different professional scenic contexts and natural landscapes in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, France and for the first time in Germany.
