We celebrate the volcano that lies within all of us. Bright red, glittering, full of explosive energy, fast and fearless - anger can be beautiful. Even more so when it is danced.
Inner feelings take on an outer form, intuition takes over, huge amounts of energy are released. And in this choreography for four dancers, a virtuoso and imaginative choreography crystallises from the wild flow of impulsive movements.
Excessive anger is a danger to our social interaction. It can lead to physical violence, which must be prevented in many ways. But should anger always be controlled and „managed”? Aren't there issues and things that we should fight for with our hands and feet?
In this performance, at least, we want to let off some steam, act out our anger, open the floodgates of rage and see where the volcanic currents take us. In the process, we can reflect on our own use of anger: how do we release tension, set boundaries and express our most urgent needs?

The dance company Joshua Monten offers workshops on stage combat and dance to prepare for or follow up their dance production ‘Anger Management’. The content of this course is to promote access to contemporary dance and at the same time to clarify the difference between real and fake violence. The workshop creates space for the playful exploration of physical creativity, exchange and group work.
