Johanna Lemke was born in Berlin, Germany. She grew up in West Berlin and Lithuania after her mother fled the GDR and later studied dance in Berlin and Amsterdam. She has been performing on national and international stages since the age of seven. She has worked as a choreographer, performer and dancer in various art, film, music, theatre and dance projects and has collaborated with numerous artists, including Boris Charmatz, Constanza Macras, Jeremy Shaw, Thomas Ostermeier, Katie Mitchel, Falk Richter, Wojtek Klemm, Ms-Schrittmacher, Club Guy and Roni, Jens van Deale, Sultans Court, Felix Ruckert, Tino Sehgal, Isa Melzheimer, Rebekka David, Frank Willens, Justin F.
