With LABDance, choreographer Johanna Lemke, together with dramaturge Masza Raesch and changing special guests, opens the archive of her artistic work and invites the audience into a dialogue. Across a total of eight performance slots of approximately 30 minutes each, visitors experience a multi-layered, experimental format.
LABDance is simultaneously an open rehearsal, an archive opening, a laboratory space, and a workshop for the future. It creates an intense atmosphere that allows for personal encounters between performers and the audience. Visitors are free to choose whether to attend individual slots or experience the full program.

Text installation of sound and visuals featuring fragments and quotes on dance and art as practice and paid work; on their ambivalent relationship with society, between critique and co-optation; on the economic and political contexts in which they are created and take place; and on the connections between neoliberalism, budget cuts, and the shift to the right.
