Within the cauldron/reality is complicated
The war is between steel and butter, a rock and a hard place.
I was born with a broken heart.
We tear ourselves by tearing others.
Seeing from the eye of the heart, the eye of heartbreak, of desire.
Space appears as grace as a voice as a drawing as a dance that dissolves before it is captured.
Yes to dancing in the dark.
"within the heart / you get lost" oscillates between drawing and dance, past and future, tragedy and joy; with music, language, darkness, animation, lighting, toys, effort, camaraderie, silence, the magical gateway into the wilderness of the world is sought.
The project is a performative collaboration with Niall Jones and Jesse Zaritt on the occasion of Sara Shelton Mann's more than 60 years of choreographic work.
