Every body on stage is at the service of something – the audience, the form, the image it is meant to embody. But what happens when this service is called into question? When two women take to the stage and ask: To whom does this body actually belong – and who has determined the images that have long been inscribed upon it?
“Victims & Images” is a duet that gets under your skin. Choreographer Roni Chadash returns eight years after the acclaimed premiere to re-examine and further develop the piece. With Shira Ben Uriel and Romi Lahav, a more mature, deeper version of a work emerges that has captivated critics and audiences alike from the very beginning.
An evening exploring femininity, autonomy and the silent power of the gaze. No easy answers – but questions that linger long after the performance ends.
