"ring" is a choreographic reflection on contact and closeness, seduction and declaration of love, simulation and authenticity, on the unpredictability but also the mechanics of emotions. the famous and successful production by felix ruckert, explores the relationship between audience and performers. the audience is invited to sit on 21 chairs and interact with 21 performers until the circle closes. musicians christian meyer and oliver doerell accompany the piece with minimalist electronic sounds.

b12 - the festival for contemporary dance and performance art berlin 2023 - has once again put together a varied programme with different works: during the four weeks in july there will be workshops and symposia, but also exciting events and fantastic performances.

in addition to performances for the public, the festival offers participating dancers and performers the opportunity to work with and learn from a variety of renowned international artists. b 12 is a platform for professional exchange of experience and teaching in a beautiful studio environment.

since its inception, b 12, the festival of contemporary dance and performance art, has been dedicated to supporting artists who take physical and emotional risks on stage and in the rehearsal process, and to supporting different approaches and styles.

the b12 summer festival remains the flagship event, complemented by the two brand new b12 satellite programmes in spring and autumn, each lasting four days. the festivals take place here in berlin with participants, teachers and choreographers in berlin in various studios and theatres.
