gabrielle nankivell: our impermanent universe
a sequence of slow blinks that reveal constantly changing patterns of thought and
action reveal
like heartbeats in glass jars
or fireworks in space
the ethereal, the indeterminable, that which eludes our grasp...
a personal mythology, built from collective experiences
enchantment, haunting, madness and magnetism
an instruction manual for new rituals.
thought patterns are important elements in dance. dancing together is therefore a great opportunity to see some very interesting people thinking.
dancing and thinking together creates a performance of process and product, a snapshot of concrete transience - for weird, ugly, beautiful and wild things.
