The stains reveal the ghosts of the past. The work transports us into the shadows of the unconscious, bringing them into the light to embrace them with joy and colour. The work suggests trust, courage and openness towards the in-between spaces. The stains shine in the darkness and dissolve into a cosmic dimension.

TAHRA / STAIN is a multi-sensory and multi-dimensional collaborative work whose themes emerge from focused communication and the aesthetics of its artists. The work is constructed out of four fragmentary sections that merge into a coherent but surprising whole. Aesthetically, the work starts from minimalism and sinks into entropy. Paasonen's movement language, Tahkola's drawings and live painting, and Masse's music and sound work create a strong basis for dramaturgy and expression that transports the viewer into a deeply affective state.

The work was created in Turku at the residency of Manifesti 2022 in August-September 2022.
