The mystery of the beauty and the sorrow that we see, tumbling buildings, hungry eyes, young children giggling, wanting to know everything, the holding of hands, the stacks of pillows on the side of the road, the bad architectural choices made from cheap thoughts, feeling the cause and effects of choosing, standing in line, rushing into the crowd, wanting.
„L2/are we listening“ is a continuation and expansion of the piece „L/are we dreaming“, created last summer by Sara Shelton Mann and Jesse Zaritt. This year, in collaboration with Niall Jones, the exploration of themes such as belonging, beauty, mortality, joy and loss will be taken further. This interdisciplinary performance places dance movements at the heart of its exploration, complemented by images, text, sound and light.
We let go and hold on to one another; to our own lives and the lives of those around us.
We see with our ears, hear with our eyes, and feel from knowing.
