
This performance is inspired by a document that was hidden for over 40 years. It attempts to navigate the space between history and memory, making connections to a policy of destruction that began in 1500: the genocide of Brazil's indigenous peoples.

Pedro Vilela is a Brazilian artist based in Porto, Portugal. He works in the fields of curation, theatre creation and academic research with a focus on counter-colonial thinking and political, identity and racial issues in relation to his continent of origin. His work seeks to create connections between Europe and Latin America. He founded and curates the TREMA! Festival and Quilombo_Trema!
