Reihe: Eine Frau wird älter

„Die vorletzte Frau“ und „Hey, guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?“

Katja Oskamp and Martina Hefter in conversation with Miriam Stein

„Die vorletzte Frau“ und „Hey, guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?“

„Let's change the picture“ is the slogan of a campaign to make women in their mid-40s more visible in film and television. „You'd look old without us“ is the slogan of a campaign by the online magazine Palais F*luxx, which fights age discrimination against women in the workplace. And what about us? We present a new edition of our successful series 'A woman gets older', in which we have been analysing the ageing of women in literature for over five years.

Our guests are two bestselling authors: Martina Hefter won the German Book Prize in 2024 with „Hey, guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?“, in which an ageing dancer pursues an amorous illusion. And bestselling Spiegel author Katja Oskamp's „Die vorletzte Frau“ is a romantic novel that is as honest as it is grandiose, about a relationship that is literally getting on in years, in which ageing bodies (finally) come into their own.

Journalist Miriam Stein talks to the two authors about ageing women in literature and in reality.
