This evening is a collaboration between the choreographer and dancer Tomi Paasonen and his partner, the drag artist Colin Comfort, as well as their drag alter egos Tieza and Gieza Poke. The merging of their creative worlds results in a mixtures of ethereal melancholy and down-to-earth cheerfulness.
Everyday themes, childhood memories and visions of the future are transformed into choreographed scenes brimming with imagination, lightness and distortions. Their infectious joy and humorous nonsense act as a firewall against current state of affairs. Absurd, poetic and full of wit, they weave declarations of love for one another, for the stage and for their shared life.
Choreography, dance, text, costumes, soundtrack: Tomi Paasonen/Tieza Poke, Colin Comfort/Gieza Poke.
