ASK GONZALO make music with the potential to make people happy. The five musicians from Germany, Japan, Spain and Argentina interweave jazz with dub, funk and free improvisation in their compositions and constantly create new sound spaces. Sometimes danceable, sometimes playful, sometimes melancholic, sometimes like film music or like a journey into outer space.
The evening in the large dance hall is conceived as a co-creative total work of art; the performance of the musicians, the width and height of the hall, the light, the magic of the moment and the congenial illustration with Super 8 films from another time.
The concert is a home game, as the band has its rehearsal room in the same backyard. It's nice that something like this is still possible in modern Prenzlauer Berg.
