Lukas Malkowski (he/they) is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) and performance artist. Lukas lives in Germany and Canada. Since completing a BFA in Dance Performance at Toronto Metropolitan University, Lukas has worked with Naishi Wang, Ceren Oran, Guillaume Côté, Robert Lepage, Toronto Dance Theatre, Wang Ramirez, Staatsballett Berlin, Sasha Waltz & Guests, Jasmine Ellis, Diane Borsato, Adelheid, Kate Hilliard, Mocean Dance and Deaf Spectrum. Lukas received the 2021 Performing Arts Research Grant and a 2022/23 Dance Practice Grant in the Emerging Artist category. Lukas explores the embodiment of physics, voice and gesture and has choreographed ambient sets, music videos and films for Sam Slater (Joker OST), LBT and 7th Plain (Luke Slater). Lukas teaches and performs at festivals, companies and schools in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Berlin, Kassel, Munich, Slovakia and Mexico City.
