RINGdigital

Presentation as part of OPEN LAB December 15-18 at DOCK 11

"We record the dance material of various 'historical' pieces in motion capture to create an archive where you can study these pieces digitally in detail, down to every single little movement. This technique makes it possible to record movements completely in three dimensions and then to view the dances from any angle and at any tempo, and thus to reproduce them, both solos and group choreographies. "
Felix Ruckert

The result is a VR installation and an exhibition concept that allows the viewer to be part of the ring installation. In order to better understand the background of the piece, the installation is accompanied by video documentations as well as an instruction for self-dancing by Felix Ruckert via video.
