Brit Rodemund

Brit Rodemund is a dancer and teacher based in Berlin.

She studied at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, danced as a soloist at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, the Aalto Theater in Essen and the Ballett Nürnberg. From 2000-2015 she freelanced and worked with Marco Santi, Christian Spuck, Katja Wachter, Nina Kurzeja, Christoph Winkler, Efrat Stempler, Tomi Paasonen, Dansity Amsterdam, Helena Waldmann, MS Schrittmacher, Tim Plegge and Maya Matilda Carrol, among others. From 2015 - 2018 she was a member of Dance On Ensemble under the artistic direction of Christopher Roman, where she worked with Lucy Suggate, Matteo Fargion, Rabih Mroué, Kat Valastur, William Forsythe, Deborah Hay, Jan Martens, Johannes Wieland and Ersan Mondtag. Freelancing again since 2018, she has worked with Janne Gregor, Lajos Talamonti and from 2019 - 2021 for the production "A Quiet Evening of Dance" by William Forsythe, produced by Sadler's Wells London, among others. She has been teaching for dance companies, professional dance studios and universities for over 20 years. She has been a member of the jury for the German Dance Award since 2018.
