This class is designed for dancers looking to exploit their physical and creative abilities while receiving comprehensive training.
This advanced level contemporary dance class offers you the opportunity to exploit your physical and creative abilities. Through a rigorous yet motivating approach, you will challenge yourself, improve your technique and discover new forms of artistic expression.
During 5 days of sessions (Monday-Friday) of 90 min, you will experience a stimulating and challenging environment that will push your limits and allow you to grow as a dancer. We will focus on developing solid technique and encouraging individual artistic expression.
Each day we will begin with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body and prevent injury. After the warm-up, we will move into complex and challenging choreographic sequences that will test your technical skills and interpretive abilities. We will explore a variety of movements and styles within contemporary dance, incorporating elements of ballet, jazz and modern dance. Fluidity, musicality and emotional connection will be key aspects that we will explore in each movement.
In addition to the technical aspects, we will also emphasize the creative side of contemporary dance. Through improvisation and composition exercises, we will encourage you to explore your own movement vocabulary and develop your unique style. We will encourage experimentation and artistic freedom, allowing you to express yourself without limitations and find your voice as a dancer.
As part of your comprehensive training, you will receive individualized feedback and constant guidance from the instructor. We will ensure that you receive the attention and support you need to overcome challenges and achieve your personal goals in contemporary dance.

David Mariano is a Mexican contemporary dancer, choreographer and performance artist with expertise in partnering, floorwork and improvisation. Currently based in Berlin, Germany, he graduated in 2002 from the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance (ENDCC) in Mexico City. He has collaborated with different companies, projects and dance festivals in Mexico, USA, Spain, Lithuania, Latin America, Japan and Germany. With empathy and generosity David Mariano builds a safe working space where the student or participant can exploit their physical and creative abilities, generates trust for collaboration and "opens doors through movement" stimulating the senses, connecting with the deepest part of the being, to create a healthy movement community.
