Gaga/people alle Level

Please note! There is no entry to the class after that class has started. Please be 10 min before the class starts at the studio.

Gaga Pop- up class, is a non regular extra class in our schedule, to be able to give you more opportunity to get a slot in one of the classes.

Gaga/people classes offer a framework for users to connect to their bodies and imaginations, experience physical sensations, improve their flexibility and stamina, exercise their agility and explosive power, and enjoy the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere.

Throughout the class, participants are guided by a series of evocative instructions deployed to increase awareness of and further amplify sensation. Rather than turning from one prompt to another, information is layered, building into a multisensory, physically challenging experience. While many instructions are imbued with rich imagery, the research of Gaga is fundamentally physical, insisting on a specific process of embodiment. Inside this shared research, the improvisational nature of the exploration enables each participant’s deeply personal connection with Gaga.

Enter The Dragon - Combat Dance with Shifu Ash

This class is based on powerful physicality, which involves strong, complex and technical
sequences in conversation with the floor and air. The class is a representation of control,
action, stamina and fearlessness. During this class, we will take a deep dive into the
understanding of the anatomy, mechanics & complexity of the dragon-shaped lines that
have been transforming along evolutionary timelines to provide efficiency, endurance, and
safety.
“You are as old as your spine”, as a Chinese proverb says!

Voguing with Angélique Mimi

Neben diversen Fernsehauftritten (z.B. ECHO, ZDF Fernsehgarten, ProSieben Got to Dance, UEFA Opening) hat sie auch in Filmen (z.B. Into the beat, Streetdancer 3D, Axolotl Overkill) mitgewirkt.

Pamela Moraga holds a BA Degree in Choreography and Dance from U. Humanismo Cristiano in Santiago de Chile (2015). Born and raised in Chile, she has been a part of the independent Berlin art scene since 2018. Her works delve into contemporary social and political themes, which she seeks to translate into the physical medium of dance through her own interpretation. She develops and presents her projects in collaboration with other independent artists in multidisciplinary works on Berlin's stages. Since 2017, Pamela has been producing her own dance works. Notable pieces include "Un salto de fe," premiered in 2017 in Santiago de Chile, followed by "No es Necesario" in the same year, "Blue" in 2018 and 2019, and "Manual de Humanidad. Volumen piel," which premiered in May 2018. In 2019, she launched a revised version of her dance piece "To Take the Leap" in Berlin. This project became the foundation for the creative collective "Tanz den Widerstand," a collaboration with other Latin American artists. Since then, she has continued to develop self-produced dance pieces. Pamela's work as an independent artist has received support from Dachverband Tanz Deutschland. Through this organization, she created a solo work called "Suspended Earth," which will be featured in PAF 2023; and her latest project called "LATINX,” also funded by Dachverband Tanz Deutschland. In 2024, Pamela was selected to be part of the PAP mentorship program (Performing Arts Program). And her new independent small format piece, "Farewell - Requiem for a Friend," was showcased at the Festival Against the Grain. Additionally, in 2024, she has been developing physical practices aimed at maintaining dance training while also focusing on building community and sharing dance practices in various formats.

Trembling practices with Valentina Menz Nash

It is a training that explores the qualities of movement that can emerge from the inseparable relationship between the force of gravity and rhythm. It is a practice that invites the pleasure and joy of sweating together, reconnecting with the mobility of the spine and the weight of the pelvis, searching to reconnect with our own presence which at the same time is the connection with our environment.

Valentina Menz Nash, I understand myself as a mover and movement researcher. My choreographic practice is born from my experience and research with Afro-Latin dances and rhythms with my journey through contemporary dance. From this encounter I explore relations of intensity between rhythm, gravity and movement, in the search to provoke states of attention that allow us to create other possible relations with our surroundings.

Flow I Entropia / a singular flow with Giuliana Corsi

This practice starts with a thorough warm up which activates the muscles, skin, fascia and skeleton. We go on with a movement research, where Giuliana brings up ways of activating awareness and focus, using isolation and textured improvisation tools that bring out details, unlocks whimsical and haptic qualities to the moving body and create different connections of the limbs in relation to the spine. This culminates on a choreographed sequence that combines musicality, precision, floor work and acrobatic elements focusing on moving in relation to textured and detailed gestural work.
