Contemporary Ballet for Professionals

In his contemporary ballet training, Christian combines elements from the Russian, French and American schools to create a lively training for the body with a placing structure and promotion of musicality through interesting dynamic changes. An important part of his training is to teach the joy of movement. He received his training at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin and continued his education in the methodology of Truman Finney, which is taught at the Hamburg Ballet and its associated school.

Christian received his training as a stage dancer at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin. This was followed by engagements as a dancer, actor and performer at various German theatres such as the Semperoper Dresden, Schauspielhaus Leipzig, Volksbühne Berlin and the Schaubühne Berlin. There he worked with John Neumeier, Frank Castorf, Johann Kresnik, Stefan Pucher, Michael Simon and many other directors and choreographers. In the course of his career he has staged more than 20 of his own works at various theatres, including Dresden and Leipzig, as well as in the independent scene in Berlin. Since 2000 he has taught contemporary ballet at DOCK11 Studios Berlin, marameo, Etage, Jacksonville University Florida USA, SENECA INTENSIV Berlin and as a guest teacher at various German state and municipal theaters.
