Equipped with augmented reality glasses, you enter a Plant Room in which artificial plants are cultivated. Ferns grow in the corners and are moved by the wind. The performer Joséphine Auffray invites you into a parallel world where sounds and calming greenery envelop the visitors * inside. Her movements and those of the plants intertwine and merge. What connection is created between real and digital bodies?
Choreographic Plant Room is a physical exploration of the digital flora of the South Pacific through dance and augmented reality. What narratives do these imported 3D botanical snapshots evoke? What happens when we begin to take their perspective?
With the kind support of Aventis Stiftung, Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, HZT Berlin, DOCK 11 / DOCKdigital and Büro West.
