RING. Felix Ruckert. digital

an interactive dance piece with motion capture suits digitalized

RING by Felix Ruckert was recorded in full length using motion capture Rokoko Suits. Creative Technologist Warja Rybakova and Technical Artist Irina Shutova will present the post-production results as a video and a as a VR experience.
They created avatars, a virtual space and in endless detail work, they specified digitized motion capture movements.

"We record the dance material of different, historical pieces in motion capture to create an archive where you can study these pieces digitally in detail, down to every single little movement. This technique makes it possible to record movements completely in three dimensions and then to view the dances from any angle and at any tempo, and thus to reproduce them, both solos and group choreographies."
