Yeri Anarika Sanchez

Artistic director of the association / choreographer and dance teacher.
She is a founding member and a board member of UMtanz e.V.

In the last years she worked as a freelancer and developed her own artistic practice. She created many solo works and has worked as a choreographer in classical and contemporary opera productions with Novoflot, at the Berlin State Opera with J. Flim, with Christof Hagel and Ensemble Quillo. A special focus of her creative work is children and young people in interdisciplinary dance theater projects .

Since 2007 she has directed projects for young people in Berlin -Volksbühne, Dresden-HELLERAU European Center of the Arts, Weimar-Tanz Camp, Stralsund- Performdance, and Brandenburg Uckermark-UMtanz-Fabrik Potsdam-Haus Quillo, as well as in Holland at Via 2018 and Belgium-in C Mine. She was also a choreographer at the children's opera Lichtenberg in Berlin. Yeri realized the documentary "Community schools life diversity" for the Berlin Senate in 2018. Since 2014, Yeri Anarika has been working every year on projects with children and young people in Templin and gradually specialized in film - dance direction and working with children.

She was a member of the dance company DorkyPark/Constanza Macras. Since 2012 she teaches international workshops and works as resident choreographer at the Production Center for Contemporary Dance in Mexico City (CEPRODAC). She has worked with the Spanish Company Lanònima Imperial, at the Landes Theater Linz with Robert Poole, Jacopo Godani and Rui Horta, among others. She studied at the Academia de la Danza Mexicana in Mexico City and at the Centre national de la Danse Contemporaine d'Angers in France.
