Nora Krahl

The passion of Berlin-based director, composer and cellist Nora Krahl belongs to contemporary music and experimental theater forms. She currently is a fellow at the XR-Unites Program of HTW Berlin, where she works on her first VR-Opera “Am Ende der Welt”. In 2021 she directed the premiere of the chamber opera Kein Mythos at the Tischlerei of the Deutsche Oper and in 2020 the music short film Rabiator on Research. In 2018, she staged and performed Gölge Kagit at Hamburger Bahnhof and Depo Gallery in Istanbul. In 2016, she premiered her first music theater "persona non grata" in NYC. As a cellist she has performed at international festivals worldwide and she works with ensembles such as Zeitkratzer, The Octopus, She She Pop or Opera Lab. Another focus in her work is acoustic and electronic improvisation as well as composition for performances with film or dance. Nora Krahl received residencies in Istanbul, New York, California and Basel.
