Katrine Bregnum is a contemporary dancer and sound artist from Denmark, based in Berlin. Graduated from “Copenhagen school of contemporary dance” in Denmark 2012 and continued as a understudy in the Danish dance company “Bora Bora”. In Berlin she started developing her own research and exploring collaborations
across disciplines. Her main research expresses through instant composition, movement research,
voice and hybrid collaboration in form as dance-film, immersive installations and performances. In 2018 she started her solo music and sound project “Kat Polar” a fusion of experimental electronic music, field recordings and vocalizing. In addition to her solo work, she is also composing music/sound for dance projects, installations and A/V performances. As an artist she is committed to create projects in notion of the collective, through
social political questions. Giving space for the spectator / observer to expand their perspectives, habits and
prejudice.
