Katja Vaghi

A Swiss Italian dance researcher, choreographer and, somatic teacher, Katja Vaghi trained in ballet and modern dance in the US, holds an MA in literature and linguistics (Zurich University) and a PhD in dance philosophy (University of Roehampton). She currently lectures at DIE ETAGE, school for performing arts (Berlin), at the Rambert School for Ballet and Contemporary Dance (UK), at Coburg University of applied Sciences and Arts, and is art liaison for the continuing education at the Data Science Lab of the University of Bern. Her project “Contemporary Dance in Ticino: Claudio Schott” on the development of dance in Italian speaking Switzerland is recipient of the Swiss Federal Office of Culture support to the Performing Arts Heritage 2021.
