Dynamic Floorwork & Improvisation
The class begins with a warm-up awakening the functional anatomy of the body to explore
technical principles of the Floorwork. Followed by a physical endurance phase focusing on
explorative Improvisation exercises as well as movement patterns and combinations using the
physical law of expansion and cohesion, the spiral, the centrifugal energy, and gravity. The
class ends with a cool-down to regenerate the flexibility of the body. The aim is to discover
the Floorwork technique as a tool to increase awareness and the own movement potential to
provide an innovative basis for improvisation. The training draws on inspirations such as Spiral
Dynamics, Flying Low, and Release Technique to move in and out of the floor efficiently and
with ease.
