The EndurDance Method is a dynamic, improvisation-based class that offers practitioners the opportunity to push physical limits in order to reach performative clarity. This class is aimed at professional and semi-professional dancers who want to get warm...really, really warm. Dancers who want to connect with the grit and the sweat, with their own perceived limits and strength. It is a 60-minute continuous movement practice where we explore dynamic moments of physical tension and release. The aim is to get the body into a state of ultimate exhaustion in order to find clarity and honesty in each person’s unique movement vocabulary and body. We focus in particular on moving through space, partnering, coordination, and repetition. It’s about finding an authentic connection to one’s own physicality and sharing that vulnerability and strength with others. This class challenges us so that there’s no more faking it, and so that every movement speaks honestly to where each practitioner is today.
