THE RESONANT BODY for professionals
This training is based on improvisation work, Body Weather methodology and somatic body practices.
The class begins with a guided group warm up, the Djalma Warm Up, focused on the relationship between breath, movement, and energy, both individual and in the group. The idea is to free the body-mind of tensions, habits, and common places, to access our creativity from a more genuine and sensitive place. It is a kind of cleansing ritual, between trance and meditation.
In the second part we will focus on the work on the relationship movement-breath-voice-emotion-image. Through individual, couple and/or group improvisation exercises we will physically explore the different aspects of our voice: its sonority, materiality, resonance, energy, to create new forms of connection, less predictable spaces of relationship with ourselves and with others, and finally new states of consciousness and physicality. Inspired by the absurdity and poetry that emerge from this dialogue we will develop our own linguistic-bodily landscapes.
