SLOW DANCE
A space to explore the body through slow movement, music, listening and connection.

A place to feel.
To return to the body.
Like coming home.

Everything begins when we slow down. We live in fast forward — thinking more than we feel, demanding more than we experience. Slow Dance was created from the need to find silence in the midst of the chaos around us.
It is an invitation to turn down the volume of the emotional and mental noise we carry and return to the body.
Through listening. Through truth. Through love.

What we will explore
We begin by slowing down and bringing our attention to the body — noticing breath, sensations, weight, rhythm and space.
Through guided exercises, improvisation and slow movement, we will explore how the body moves when we let go of the need to perform or achieve. We will listen to sensations, follow impulses and allow movement to emerge naturally.

We will move between individual exploration and shared movement, exploring connection, proximity, rhythm and presence, with space for stillness and rest.
Music will accompany the process, inviting different qualities, rhythms and energies.
There is no choreography to learn or “right” way to move. The invitation is simply to listen, sense, discover and respond.
Movement becomes a way of paying attention — to ourselves, to others and to the space we share. This project was born from a deep desire to create and share moments of pause, connection and sensitivity.

Who is it for?
No previous dance experience is needed, open for dancers, non dancers, movers and anyone curious about movement and the body.
Come as you are.

Testimonies

“Each one is totally unique, beautiful, with such varied music that deeply inspires always. There is a generous sharing of quiet, caring, healing and peaceful energy from other participants that seeps into our souls and bodies while we breathe and dance.”

“You allow yourself to listen to your body, from stillness to movement, from the physical to the emotional. And you realise that you — and your body — need to breathe, move, express yourself, dance, feel, communicate…”

“After the last class, I woke up on Monday feeling like I had a different body, and with a very different attitude towards how to face the world.”

“SlowDance is a very special experience… your body and mind connect. That is what I love most about these workshops.”

“A journey where, little by little, I began listening to myself… until only the fusion of sound and movement remained.”

“My experience was like a journey inward, into myself and my own essence, and from there, sharing from the place of who I truly am. I want more!”

BARBARA FRITSCHE
