This project critically examines societal notions of productivity and the practice of measuring personal worth through performance. The goal is to collectively explore forms of resistance and discover ways to defy the constant commodification of time, body, thoughts, and emotions. It creates a space to engage with topics that challenge, disturb, or inspire.
Over the course of roughly three months, a short dance piece will be developed and performed.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy learning choreography and are also keen to create something of their own. In terms of dance style, the project draws on contemporary, experimental, and hip-hop influences but remains open to individual input. The focus is on an open, collaborative development process.
