“Unproductivity” is a dance production that emerged from a collaborative artistic process. Through improvisation, each dancer was able to develop their own movement language and express themselves individually.
The dance production “Unproductivity” explores the question of productivity versus unproductivity and examines why our social system uses productivity as a measure of personal worth.
Throughout the artistic process, the dancers reflected on how to resist this pressure, what tools they have at their disposal, and how they can defy the demands of productivity.
It is about resistance through refusal: refusing to sell oneself, one’s thoughts, time, abilities, body and emotions
