Movements are never separate from our emo/ons. Our bodies are deeply intertwined with our emo/onal states—whether we feel angry, /red, joyful, or calm, our movements naturally reflect those feelings. In this class, we explore how emo/ons guide movement, connec/ng deeply to the music and our personal storytelling. Designed for professional dancers, E/Mo/on Contemporary Dance blends elements of modern and contemporary dance with Pilates principles, emphasising fluidity, body awareness, and expressive movement. The class begins with a warm-up focusing on strength, flexibility, alignment, and technique. From there, dancers will dive into a combina/on of structured choreography and improvisa/on, integra/ng smooth, flowing movements with sharp, intricate dynamics. Special emphasis is placed on rhythm, /ming, and the connec/on between movement and music, encouraging dancers to interpret sound and space in unique ways. By fusing various dance styles, this class provides a fresh, dynamic approach to movement, offering both technical growth and an emo/onal, ar/s/c outlet. Let your emo/ons move you and create stories through your body!
