David Mariano

Contemporary, Basic

No experience needed. Just the desire to move differently.

Discover the art of moving with yourself
Have you never danced before? Or is it something you left behind years ago?
Do you want to reconnect with your body, move freely, and build confidence?

This class is for you.
A welcoming, safe, and accessible space for adults with no prior experience or basic knowledge of contemporary dance — designed to help you explore movement as a path to transformation, expression, and well-being.
You’re not here to “know how to dance.” You’re here to feel, listen, and rediscover your body as a tool for creativity and self-awareness.
A progressive journey: 4 modules to transform your relationship with your body

Module 1: Posture
Your starting point. We build the foundation for a strong, aligned, and available body.
Physical preparation | Body alignment and core work | Movement qualities (inspired by Laban 8 efforts)

Module 2: Dance Framework
You begin to speak the language of dance.
Contemporary dance techniques | Floor work (inspired by Steve Paxton) | Functional biomechanics

Module 3: Balance and Self-Regulation
Find your inner and outer balance.
Guided improvisation | Conscious physicality | Listening to your limits

Module 4: Confidence
We celebrate everything you’ve learned.
Complex sequences | Spatial presence | Expressive movement and identity

An open invitation
This class is not just about technique. It’s a space where each movement becomes a new way to be with yourself, release, and enjoy who you are.

Dancing is not about copying steps — it’s about meeting yourself in motion.
Come move freely, without judgment, among others who are also beginning their journey.

Get in touch to reserve your spot.
We meet every Thursday to move, grow, and dance — together!

David Mariano is a Contemporary dancer, teacher and movement artist.
Born in Mexico and graduated from the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance (ENDCC) in 2002, David Mariano has built an international career that establishes him as a reference for conscious and sensitive bodywork.

With a solid technical training and a deep understanding of the body in movement, his artistic mission is to accompany others - dancers, students and audiences - in rediscovering their own body as a space for expression, reflection and transformation. His practice encourages both inner and outer empathy and uses dance as a means of self-knowledge and awareness.
In his pedagogical work, David creates generous and accessible spaces that allow for honest physical exploration. As a performer, he is characterized by a strong stage presence and the ability to open "emotional doors" in the audience through movement.
He has collaborated with artists, companies and festivals in America, Europe and Asia, building a career characterized by commitment, sensitivity and the constant search for meaning through dance.
