The REALTIME AFFAIRS event series is a regular meet-up for artists, designers and interested audiences who are passionate about audiovisual performances and immersive experiences. The aim is to present formats on the interdisciplinary border of performing arts, gaming and media art. The format initiated by DOCK 11/DOCKdigital, in collaboration with the Berlin University of the Arts, is intended to function as a regular meeting point, hosting discussion formats, try-out presentations and panels. Our goal is to create a vibrant space for sharing ideas, supporting each other and exploring novel approaches.

Realtime Affairs meets tanz:digital: Marco Donnarumma
We are thrilled to invite you one last time this year to Realtime Affairs. For this special Christmas edition, we are excited to welcome the artist Marco Donnarumma.

As part of the tanz:digital network, the Italian sound artist and choreographer has prepared a unique lecture performance for this event, offering exclusive insights into his methods and current projects. His work bridges dance and interactive sound synthesis to create genre-defying solo performances that explore themes of ritual, power, and technology.

Following Marco’s lecture performance, there will be a Q&A session with the audience. To wrap up the evening, the tanz:digital team will introduce themselves and invite everyone to join us for a casual drink.

We look forward to an evening of engaging exchanges, deep discussions, and forward-thinking reflections on the future of post-digital performance making.

Marco Donnarumma is an Italian performance artist, new media artist, and scholar based in Berlin. His work examines the interplay between the body, politics, and technology. Widely recognized for his performances that fuse sound, computation, and biotechnology, Marco’s art incorporates ritual, shock, and entrainment as key elements of his aesthetics.
