"I AM WITH YOU"
Inspired by the losses of women, workers, athletes, survivors of abuse, femicides worldwide. The piece rests on the phrase "We are with you" / "I am with you."
Judith Sánchez Ruíz is revisiting her groundbreaking "diary process", delving deeper into the raw, existential physicality that lies at its core. This movement will resonate like a powerful chorus, a visual poem painted across the stage, instilling a shared human sentiment, and reflecting our collective experiences without dictating the narrative of our choices.
“la continuación de lo Invisible or la mujer orquesta" (Work - in - Progress)
A multimedia solo piece exploring the experience of living many years abroad. How the demands of adapting and surviving in those societies comes with burdens-things that weigh on us, separate us, and at some point, shape us.
The author's recent return home led to a moment of clarity, a kind of oasis of perception. Reflecting on history and identity, it questions where our spirit, connection to the earth and empathy have gone.

Judith Sánchez Ruíz is a trailblazing choreographer known for her innovative work. She was the first guest choreographer for the Trisha Brown Dance Company in its 53-year history. As an independent choreographer, she focuses on structured improvisation and movement research.
Born in Havana, Cuba, she began studying dance at the National School of Arts at age 11. Over her career, she has worked with Sasha Waltz & Guest (2011-2014), Deborah Hay (2012), Trisha Brown Dance Company (2006-2009), DD Dorvillier (2002, 2019), David Zambrano (1997), Mal Pelo Company (1997-1999), and DanzAbierta Company (1991-1996).
Since 2010, her Judith Sánchez Ruíz Company has shared her improvisation and performance research worldwide through institutions, festivals, and companies. She has created many stage and site-specific works performed globally. Ms. Sánchez founded the Professional Contemporary Dance Certification Program in Berlin, a biannual program that preserves and shares dance research and knowledge with future dancers and educators.
