On November 13th and 14th A motion capture workshop will take place with the students of the Contemporary Puppetry Department at the HfS Ernst Busch. We are experimenting with real-time control and animation of digital bodies and objects. The aim is to test the simultaneity of puppeteer and puppet in a digital setting and to find translations for movement sequences that go beyond purely mechanical impulses. For this we use, among other things, the Smart Suits (motion capture suits) from Rokoko, which we can use digitally thanks to what DOCK 11 offers. The seminar is supervised by Melanie Sowa (Animation, HfS) and Helene Kummer (Digital Object Design, HfS).
