We are launching the first edition of our new radio program ‘Dual Mono’ on 7 June 2025 at DOCK 11 / DOCKdigital @dock_digital_berlin, in collaboration with OUTSIDEININSIDEOUTINSIDEOUTOUTSIDEIN @outsideininsideout.
‘Dual Mono’ is a radio event that brings together one artist based in Berlin and another based elsewhere, both working primarily with sound, for an open conversation. Each edition offers a meeting point for different artistic contexts, where the invited artists share their backgrounds, artistic practices, and perspectives on art and life.
For this inaugural edition, we’re pleased to welcome Jonáš Gruska @jonas.gruska and Seiji Morimoto @seijimorimoto.
Jonáš Gruska, based in Bratislava, is a sound artist and the founder of LOM @lom.label, an independent music label and company specializing in the design and production of custom microphones and instruments.
Seiji Morimoto, originally from Tokyo and now based in Berlin, is a sound artist, curator of the experimental music series Experimentik @experimen.tik, and co-founder of the label Emitter Micro @emitter_micro
The conversation will be moderated by sound artist and researcher Andrejs Poikāns @andrejspoikaans11, who will guide the discussion through questions and reflections on the artists’ work and daily lives.
