exchange program between Adama dance school and Frantics dance company
Adama Dance School in Sderot invited the German based dance company Frantics for a one month residency program in April 2024, during which the company was supposed to teach the local dance students and a group of disabled non professional dance lovers. To complete this collaboration, the company was suppose to perform at Adama's Pessach Festival and present the work they did with the local groups.
This project had to be cancelled due to the attacks on Israel on October 7th 2023.
The strong connection between Adama Center and the Frantics Dance Company brought them to try to turn the project around: The students will travel to Berlin to meet Frantics there, instead of the other way around.
Especially for the team of Adama, there is a great significate to continue processes and projects that began before the war. In order, and especially in these days, to continue the artistic approach, the social and community-oriented approach and to bring it into action.
The partners of this project share a similar world view that connects between art and community.
