The quality of movement and presence originate from our sensitivity, physical and emotional experiences. We tap into our own history and memories held in our bodies. You will be guided on a journey of the butoh-based training repertoire to ‘sensitize' the performer in very specific ways. It trains the perspective and listening ability as much as it trains the physical body. By listening to the more unconscious responses in the sensitive body-mind, performers gain access to broader range of materials and start to move beyond a habitual use of the body, the movement reaction comes from a deeper place within.
Open level
The workshop will be given in English.
