b12 – the festival for contemporary dance and performance art in Berlin 2026 is always searching – for you! We kick off with our satellite program b12 spring, taking place from April 13 to 26, 2026, inviting you to become part of the b12 world. Next comes our extensive flagship event: the b12 Summer Festival in July. Over four weeks, from July 6 to August 2, 2026, we offer a wide variety of workshops, performances, and events. In the fall, the program continues with the thirteen-day satellite format b12 fall, running from October 19 to November 1, 2026. For the first time, you can also apply for our extremely popular Performance Projects as part of b12 spring and b12 fall – these were previously only offered during the Summer Festival.
And while we’re at it, make sure to check out our newest, three-month educational program b12 mavericks.

performance projects
This project offers you the opportunity to work closely with a choreographer, research an idea, and then present it in a performance. Each performance project is limited to approximately 17 participants. The performance projects run for 13 days (one day off). The pieces will then be presented three times at Dock 11, a theater in Berlin-Mitte. There is no application deadline, and you can apply up to one day before rehearsals begin.
