Inversion of a Future – Action 1

Wir sind gegen nichts immun, die Hüllen unserer blühenden Körper knacken bei jedem Sprung. Überlagernde Annahmen werden niemals das entblößte Fleisch, den gefangenen Atem oder die seufzende Stimme besiegen. Im Inneren des Würfels nimmt ein auserwähltes Double die physischen Extreme an, die unsere Körper so bereitwillig an unsere Werkzeuge, Maschinen, Avatare oder bezahlte, weit entfernte Auftragnehmer delegieren. Ein Experiment, das darauf abzielt, sich selbst und die Kontrollmechanismen zu verbessern – indem es alle Knöpfe unserer Besessenheit von Grenzen drückt, lebt das Double die Reibung zwischen dem Wunsch nach Durchbruch und dem Aufgeben aus.

Inversion of a Future ist eine Forschung über die physische und musikalische Sprache von Extremsituationen. Zwischen Choreographie, Stuntdarbietung und Musikkomposition untersucht sie die Zukunft des Doubles – die Delegation von Angst und Gefahr in einer menschlichen Welt, die das Adrenalin sucht, ohne die Kontrolle aufgeben zu wollen. Es stellt die Rolle des Stuntdarstellers hinter den Kulissen in den Mittelpunkt und lässt rhythmische Muster in der Unvermeidbarkeit von Schwerkraft und Aufprall auftauchen.

Diese Performance-Installation präsentiert Ergebnisse der Forschung in einem Erfahrungsbereich von Video-
installationen, choreographischen Sequenzen, Stuntperformance und Klangkompositionen.

We are immune against noting, the shells of our blooming bodies crack with our every jump. Layered assumptions will never defeat the denuded flesh, the trapped breath or the sighing voice. Inside the cube, a chosen double takes on the physical extremes that delegate our bodies so readily to our tools, machines, avatars or paid, distant contractors. An experiment that aims at bettering itself and the control mechanisms – by pushing all buttons of our obsession with boundaries, the double lives out the friction between the desire to break through and to give up.

Inversion of Future is a research on the physical and musical language of extreme situations. Between choreography, stunt performance and musical composition, it explores the double’s future – the delegation of fear and danger in the human world that searches for adrenalin rushes without wanting to give up control. It focuses on the role of the stunt performer behind the scenes and allows rhythmic patterns to emerge in the inevitability of gravity and impact.

This performance installation presents the research results in a experimental field  of video installations, choreographic sequences, stunt performances and sound compositions.
