Using body-mind centering® and voice work, this lab offers you a space where you can immerse yourself in an embodied exploration of your body/systems and research new material that will enrich your movement vocabulary, give your acting new emotional depth, enliven your voice, and help you navigate states of consciousness for your performance and character.
each weekend we will be researching systems and phases of human development. using the human anatomy as a map, emotions and states of consciousness become grounded in the body and thus repeatable, integrated, and part of your expressive repertoire. discover how your voice is interwoven with and emerges from these embodied states. you become your own teacher, student, and subject of study.
there will be plenty of time to document your findings and put them into movement and action. each weekend will conclude in little performances for integration.

Qi Gong of the Four Seasons - moving form with Katrin Blumenberg
Summer - serenity, kindheartedness, joie de vivre, stomach/spleen
Course content:
Qi Gong combines breathing, mental centring, inner and outer posture, movement and imagination. The movement exercises are a holistic experience, which in China is referred to as "cultivation exercise of body and mind". In a gentle way, the whole body is mobilised and mental resources are strengthened. "Qi Gong of the Four Seasons" is particularly attuned to nature, with which we are always physically and mentally connected. A deeper understanding of this interplay of nature, body, soul, emotions and organs is explained and experienced in practice.
There are 11 movement exercises for each season, which promote harmony with inner and outer nature. The exercises are especially strengthening in the corresponding season:
Spring - emotional balance, vitality, metabolism, muscles/tendons
Summer - serenity, kindheartedness, joie de vivre, stomach/spleen
Autumn - mental clarity, being able to let go, breathing, digestion
Winter - confidence, will to live, fluid balance, bones/spine
Suitable for beginners and advanced participants. The exercises are taught in such a way that you can continue practising at home. The weekends do not build on each other and can be booked individually. The seminars are recognised as a prevention measure by the German statutory health insurance companies and are generally subsidised with 80 %.

Exercises bringing you to realise your posture, your place into the room.
Using the architecture and the people as stimuli to set the body in motion.
Being "moved" and letting go of the desire of controlling.
Extending improvisations.
Blending in into movement and sounds.
Inclusive listening and inclusive moving in order not to judge.
The journey brings you to:
- sharpen your sens of space, time and rhythm.
- be more in the present time.
- think less to feel more.
- enhance feelings of freedom.

* For Artists, performers, actors, dancers, the work aim to reset certain fundamentals of the actual being on stage. Relation to the audience, to the partners, to the space, a specific way to deal with a choreography, with a text. And of course it is about freedom on stage, freedom with one self.

« There is a space around us full of colours, shapes, sounds and of course, People.
There is a space in each of us for silence, poetry and beauty.
There is a beauty in offering, in sharing, in allowing ourselves to be touched and moved by our surrounding.
With playfulness and surrendering, we dim out the noise of the thoughts by letting go in the power of our senses.
We find ways to take down our mechanism of fear.
We switch between inner and outer awareness.
We step away from social conventions to softly fall into humanity.
Our Journey is a celebration of the encounter.
We will go for voicing rather than singing,
Moving rather than dancing,
Away from the fear of failing, the fear of falling,
Away from ideas of aesthetic or technics,
All for the sake of freeing, connecting and playing,
Playing a soft, honest and deep game.
Therefore,
Come and join,
with your desire of searching,
your curiosity and your doubts,
just as you are. »

“A conscious state of transformation. It invites us to get involved in that daily life and the present... ready to share our body memories, experiences, and love for our body, dance and movement.”
"I believe today´s world needs art to heal, needs art to heal our bodies from our souls. Art as a tool of transformation. From our inner feeling and sensations. From our inner beast, being present. With a conscience practice. (Is not easy - for sure is fun). Then there is not past to regret of, there is not present to be disappointed of or future to be worry about. Just moments of learning. Moments of understand our own world, our inner beast, and our own life. So long, we can share and maybe understand others world life. A present to life and future to create."

Dance workshop
Objects, voice and movements
Intuition, spontaneity and technique are the tools used to enter in the topic of the workshop. Through the participation of the body and the observation of the mind, the participants will learn how to compose movements, play with materials and use the voice in the immediacy of the present moment. The instant composition will be the main frame through which all these elements are organized in one single practice of dance. The proposed exercises will focus on perception, pro-active use of gravity, agility and lightness in the process of thinking, imagination, compositional mind and poetry of action. Participants will be accompanied during the lesson through a progressive journey that starts from the simplicity of the individual act, up to the complexity and richness of an instant group composition.

Qi Gong of the Four Seasons - moving form with Katrin Blumenberg
Autumn - mental clarity, being able to let go, breathing, digestion
