Evangelos Poulinas

Evangelos Poulinas was a guest lecturer at the Institute for Contemporary Dance at Folkwang University in Essen. He holds a BFA from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a diploma from the Athens State School of Dance and an MFA from the tisch school of the arts, New York. His choreographic work has been presented in the US, Europe and Asia; his piece alternative bodies has been performed in Germany, Greece, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Macau and China. He has danced in works by J. Wieland, M. Doyle and W. Vandekeybus, among others, and was director of the annual one small step festival in Greece from 2010 to 2018. He teaches contemporary dance in Europe, the USA and Asia. He has received several scholarships, among others from the Alexandros s. Onassis public benefit foundation, New York university, a Greek state scholarship and a danceweb Europe scholarship. He is a founding member and artistic director of the annual b12 dance and performance art festival in Berlin. https://b12.space/
