DOCKeleven

The DOCKeleven are the two junior companies of DOCK11. Lisa Oettinghaus founded the dance company in 2016 with talented students from her classes. The company starts every year in September and works weekly for a year with different choreographers on a dance theatre piece, which then is presented in the DOCK11 Theatre.
In 2020, another company was added under the direction of Doreen Haberland.
Together with the choreographer, they develop a dance theatre piece that is shaped by improvisations and ideas from the students. The DOCKeleven is formed by students who attend dance classes at DOCK 11; participation in the company requires this classes.
Every year the students of DOCK11 have the opportunity to join the company - all dance enthusiasts are welcome. The age groups change annually and can be requested from the choreographers.

Lisa Oettinghaus received her diploma as a stage dancer in 2010. Afterwards, Lisa danced with Project Dance in New York, Ad Deum Dance Company in Houston, Texas, Cie. She has been working as a dance teacher for over 15 years and has completed further training in the field of alternative psychotherapy and dance pedagogy. She is the founder and choreographer of DOCK 11's first junior company, the DOCKeleven.
