Annick Schadeck

Born in Luxembourg in 1989, Annick Schadeck began her professional dance education in 2008 at the Palucca School in Dresden in 2008 and subsequently worked as an apprentice at the Semper Opera Ballet Dresden. One year later she joins the Ballets Jazz de Montréal and performs pieces by Mauro Bigonzetti and Aszure Barton, among others. Back in Europe, Annick joins the Landestheater Innsbruck and works with choreographers such as Angel Rodriguez and Stefan Thoss. In 2012, in order to broaden her artistic experience, Annick began to freelance become a freelancer. She works in San Francisco with Zhukov Dance Theatre, in Florence with GMballet by Giorgio Mancini, in Aix-en-Provence with Ballet Preljocaj (FR), to name a few. She regularly works for the Deutsche Oper Berlin and in parallel with choreographers such as Blanca Li, Patrick King, Benoit Swan Pouffer, Marguerite Donlon and several choreographers of the local scene in scene in Luxembourg. In 2013 she receives the ING Prize for young artists. In 2015, in collaboration with Michèle Tonteling, with the support of TROIS-C-L, she developed and the Service national de la Jeunesse, she develops her first solo called d`Steck. This collaboration extends to 2016 with the creation of the solo Particles. Endless file, was premiered in 2018 and conceived for 2 musicians and 2 dancers. 2021 saw the world premiere of her solo In your eyes conceived for one performer and one audience member, took place. Recurring themes in Annick Schadeck's work: transformation, the boundaries between the organic and inorganic, of movement and stillness, time and space, colors and music.
